It started with a secret. Well, not a secret so much as a frustration that so many of us know all too well. For years, my skin and I were in a complicated relationship. I have combination skin, and back in my 20s, my T-zone had a particular talent for producing enough oil to rival a slick. Every product I tried, every "oil-free" promise, seemed to make it angrier. I’d go to bed hopeful and wake up frustrated.
Then, about fifteen years ago, my journey into the world of clean beauty led me to something that sounded completely nuts: putting oil on my oily face.
The product was a simple facial oil, a blend centered around jojoba. My inner skeptic was loud, but my desperation was louder. I took the leap. And over the next 90 days, something miraculous happened. My skin… calmed down. It found its equilibrium. The frantic oil production slowed, and a sense of balance was restored.
That was my "aha" moment. What if we’ve been overcomplicating things? What if the answers we need for healthy, radiant skin have been here all along, quietly utilized by humanity for centuries?
This path led me to the beautiful, innovative world of K-Beauty, with its reverence for gentler formulations, fermented ingredients, and powerful botanicals. It also celebrated incredible scientific breakthroughs, proving that we didn't have to choose between nature and innovation.
And that’s when I noticed the great divide in the clean beauty space. Brands were either rooted in the earth - all botanicals and essential oils - or born in a lab, championing potent, clinical actives. Each has their place, but I kept asking myself, what if we could have both?

For the past 16 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in sales and leadership, helping brilliant brand owners build their dreams. I’ve cheered from the sidelines, helped strategize, and celebrated their successes. All the while, a dream of my own was taking root. The vision God gave me wouldn’t stay quiet. It wasn’t just a brand; it was a calling. I decided it was time to take my own leap of faith and create the brand that I longed to support, one built on integrity, value, and a desire for pure, effective formulas.

I often get asked about my age.. I’m 42 now, and I plan to get a lot of mileage out of the surprise on people's faces when I tell them!
